Role responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee comprehensive resource plans, encompassing long-term, mid-term, short-term, and immediate perspectives.
- Empower Team Leaders to optimise resource allocation by providing a clear understanding of scheduled and planned work.
- Offer recommendations based on resource availability, such as the need for additional resources or prioritisation of tasks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including project managers, to update schedules and plans as necessary.
- Provide a concise and visually informative representation of resource plans.
- Assist the PMO and EPMO in determining portfolio priorities.
- Establish regular planning sessions with Project Managers and Resource Managers to uphold resource and project management plans.
- Utilise data-driven insights and metrics to formulate recommendations and unearth potential opportunities.
- Secure agreement from Resource Managers on availability and productivity measures.
- Facilitate decision-making processes to support resource planning, including prioritisation and addressing resource gaps.
About you:
- Proficiency in managing complex scheduling and resource planning environments, particularly within a highly structured and unionised workforce.
- Demonstrated ability to influence various stakeholders, including senior management.
- Track record of successfully optimising workforce planning and rostering.
- Proven history of identifying and implementing improvements in operational performance.
- Effective presentation skills to communicate findings and drive decision-making.
- Strong expertise in Excel, data modelling, statistical analysis, financial modelling, predictive modelling, and data visualisation would be ideal.
