Job description

We have a rare opportunity with our client, looking for someone to be both a people, technical leader and a company role model. In this role you will guide and manage development teams, ensuring successful project delivery, fostering collaboration, and maintaining high quality standards. Your technical expertise, leadership skills and ability to coordinate efforts across teams are essential. 

Key things you'll be across: 

• Uphold and champion the company values, and act as a positive role model.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to identify and define project requirements, time lines, and deliverables.
• Ensure plans are in place to prioritise and delegate tasks effectively to meet project deadlines and milestones.
• Report progress to plan to business and other key stakeholders. Escalate issues and provide mitigation strategies for discussion.
• Work collaboratively with other leaders to ensure teams have the right technical and people skills to reach and maintain high performance.
• Contribute to evolving and realising a vision, strategy and plan for our client

Skills and experience

• Proven experience using the full Application Lifecycle, Agile principles and processes, Product Development and Service Delivery.
• Proven experience on improving development standards, coding practices, patterns, principles, developer tooling and experience.
• Proven experience in a similar position, leading a team of developers and development teams.
• Knowledgeable on security best practices, day to day and in development.
• Demonstrated strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to translate technical concepts into business terms.

We are ideally looking for someone from a Development background. You won't be cutting code in this role, but having that background will be key
