We are on the hunt for a skilled Engineer who has skills in the Modern Workplace. 

This person will build, maintain and secure in office, remote and cloud-based equipment for an internal company in the private space. 

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace equipment and systems are maintained, stable and secure.
• You will be responsible for purchasing related equipment and software.
• Software maintenance, security patching and upgrades are performed regularly and a treated as a top priority.
• Implement applicable equipment and system enhancements.
• Automate repeated manual tasks.
• Provide technical support to our people, troubleshooting issues and ensure that employees have the necessary tools and resources to perform their tasks.
• Promote, encourage, and train our people to enable them to self-serve.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually improve our workplace environment.

Skills and Experience

• Strong technical background with general understanding of IT technologies
• A champion of automation and the reduction of manual tasks
• A senior level of experience in Automation (PowerShell, Python, or any other scripting/automation language)
• Experienced in Systems Administration (Windows Server, Linux, SCCM)
• Experienced in implementing and maintaining sustainable access controls (RBAC)
• Experienced in Networking & Routing (Switches, Firewalls, Wireless Access Points, NAC, DNS, Proxies, Client VPN)
• Experienced in Modern Workplace tools (Azure AD, InTune, Teams, Slack, Group Policy, SSO, Microsoft Advanced Threat Protection/Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, GitHub
• Understanding of ITIL and Agile practices
• Desirable - Experienced working for software development company.
• Desirable – Experienced taking part in ISO27001 audits.
• Desirable – Experienced operating in a public cloud infrastructure.
• Desirable – Experienced in modern operational practice such as GitOps/ChatOps
