We are currently on the lookout for 2x Technical Project managers for a business transformation project based in Wellington.



About the Role:
Our Client is embarking on a significant transformation initiative to ensure they have a modern, scalable ERP platform that enhances operational efficiency and improves customer service outcomes. We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to support this transformation by managing two critical work-streams within a larger programme: a bespoke financial services (Escrow) portal and a SWIFT Transaction outsourcing service. We are also looking for another Senior Project Manager to support this transformation by leading the upgrade of a business-critical financial system used throughout the organisation.  


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the upgrade of a business-critical financial system, aligning with the overall Programme goals.
  • Support and coordinate multiple work-streams essential for the successful completion of the financial system upgrade.
  • Ensure seamless coordination across various business units, including Retail and Corporate Trustee Services, Investments, and Finance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and contribute to the successful delivery of the transformation initiative.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any risks or issues that may arise.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in large-scale, complex financial system implementations or upgrades.
  • Strong technical project management skills, with proven ability to lead and influence a diverse mix of internal and external resources across multiple project streams.
  • Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies and related tool sets like ADO/Jira.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in managing risks associated with large-scale IT projects.
  • Proficiency in managing international vendors, with a clear understanding of the challenges and solutions in global project settings.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet project deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environment.
  • Contributing effectively within a team environment as well as working independently.
  • Illustrate initiative and proactive behaviours; self-motivated individual.
  • Big Picture Perspective - ability to understand business objectives behind the programme.
